Draw a creature on paper, take a photo, and watch AI bring it to life — as a pet they can actually play with.
The Process
Your kid creates any creature on paper. A cat, a monster, a dragon. Messy lines welcome — that's what makes each one unique.
Take a photo with the app. Choose colors, personality, and a special power. AI turns their sketch into a cartoon character in seconds.
The creature is theirs — named, customized, alive. Tap it, drag it, put it in scenes with other pets. It reacts every time.
Every creature starts as marks on paper. That's the magic ingredient. AI understands the shape and energy of the drawing and creates a cartoon character that's unmistakably theirs.
No two transformations are ever the same — because no two kids draw the same way.
After transformation, each pet lives in its own room — and the original drawing hangs there as a picture frame. Kids can see exactly what they made, side by side with the character it became.
It's a tiny gallery of their creativity. As they make more creatures, they build a collection of things they actually drew.
A kid asked me that during testing. So I built it.
The Zoo Canvas is a shared scene where all their creatures can exist at once. Drag pets onto it, move them around, watch what happens when two get close. They wiggle at each other. Kids lose their minds over this.
Every creature can be exported as a shareable card — the character, its name, and a little badge showing it was drawn by hand.
Kids love sending their pets to grandparents. Parents love that the original drawing credit is built right in.
Design Philosophy
No hunger meters. No decay timers. No notifications begging kids to come back. Pets are exactly as you left them — always glad to see you.
Kids don't see advertisements. There's no ad SDK, no sponsored content, nothing designed to pull their attention toward something else.
No account required. No data collected about kids. Drawings are sent to OpenAI for transformation, then deleted. Everything else stays on device.
The app only works if kids draw first. Every session starts with a pencil and paper — not a screen. The digital part is the reward for creating something real.
Honest Pricing
No credit card needed
One-time purchase, no subscription
Why we charge at all: Each transformation costs about $0.33 in API fees — real money I pay to OpenAI every time a drawing comes to life. The Starter Pack helps cover those costs for the kids who want to make more. No subscription trap. No dark patterns. Just honest math.
Hand your kid a piece of paper. Let them draw anything. Then show them what DoodlePet can do with it.
